About Us
At Medowview Elementary, we believe school should be a place where every child feels known, supported, and excited to learn.
Our staff works together with families to nurture curiosity, confidence, and kindness while helping students grow into creative thinkers and problem solvers. Through strong relationships, engaging learning experiences, and a caring community, we help each learner discover who they are and how they can thrive, both in school and beyond.
Meadowview Elementary School opened in the fall of 2002 as the fourth elementary school in District 192. It serves students in kindergarten through fifth grade.
Designed with ATS&R Architects, Meadowview's layout follows a house system, where classrooms for each grade are grouped around a central common area, creating a house for the students in that grade. Each grade, in turn, is positioned around common learning facilities, including the school's media center and computer labs. The kindergarten house has its own playground, providing safety and age-appropriate opportunities.
The school's grounds feature walking trails connecting the campus to nearby neighborhoods, ball fields and general recreation areas, as well as an expanse of natural space with a stream running through it. The stream and its surrounding landscape serve as a curriculum tool for Meadowview educators.
Connected to the elementary school proper, the Meadowview site also houses the District 192 Community Education Department. The two programs often collaborate on programming to offer students the best options possible.
